The frost line is shallow, so there is no structural reason to dig, and the clay soil and cost make it unattractive anyway. Everything lives on the slab and above it. There is no basement to relocate a furnace, a storeroom, or a home office into, which removes a solution that exists in other cities and does not exist here.
The steel tendons running through the concrete are under tension. You do not cut them casually. Kitchens, bathrooms, laundries, and water heaters are effectively fixed where the builder put them unless you are prepared for a substantial project. That constraint is not a limitation on good Vastu work. It is the reason good Vastu work in Dallas looks different from a textbook.
The ground under your house swells when it rains and shrinks when it does not, which is why foundation movement is the most familiar homeowner complaint in North Texas. On top of that, DFW master planned communities are built around cul-de-sacs, and almost no cul-de-sac lot is a clean rectangle. A lot that is narrow at the street and wide at the rear reads differently from one that does the opposite, and a cut corner in the northeast is treated as a serious defect while an extension there is regarded as a benefit. Two houses on the same cul-de-sac can get opposite recommendations.
The fixed elements are the slab-bound ones. Almost everything else is open, and it is a longer list than most people expect.
Master bedroom and sleeping direction: Bed position and the direction of the head while sleeping. Costs nothing.
Home office: Which room, where the desk sits, which way you face, what is behind you. Increasingly the most requested topic.
Heavy furniture and storage: Weight belongs to the south and the west. Rearranging is free.
Prayer or meditation space: Northeast is the preference, and most DFW plans have a flex room, study, or formal dining that can take it.
The entry: You may not be able to move the front door, but how it is treated, lit, framed, and approached is entirely yours.
Water heater, utility room, and electrical panel: Fire and heat belong in the southeast. Water heaters in particular can sometimes be relocated without disturbing the slab.
Garage placement and use: The northwest and west are the more forgiving zones. Where it lands on the northeast, that is worth a conversation.
The center of the plan: Open plan living puts a large island near the geometric center of many DFW builds, which is the zone Vastu asks you to keep unburdened.
Color, light, and material: Real levers, applied directionally, and the cheapest ones you have.
The backyard and the pool: If a pool is not yet built, position it deliberately. Northeast is generally preferred; southwest is the one to approach with care.
If the property is already yours and the question is which of these to do first, a Vastu consultant for home can rank the list against your specific plan and lot rather than leaving you to guess.

North Texas is a business relocation market, and a large share of the work here is commercial.
For an office: the seating position of the owner or principal, the direction leadership faces while working, where accounts and cash handling sit, the entrance and reception, the placement of server rooms and heavy equipment, and the treatment of the center of the floor plate. The full approach to Vastu for office space is covered here.
For retail, restaurants and clinics: the entrance, the billing position, kitchen or treatment areas, display, and storage.
In a leased suite, you cannot move the walls, but you decide the entire internal arrangement, and in a commercial fit-out, that is where nearly all the available benefits sit. Premises of every type are handled by a Vastu consultant for business, from a single suite to an industrial building.
Step 1. Send the details: Floor plans for every level, exterior elevations, the plot or survey plan showing the lot shape and the street, photographs, and dates of birth for the people who will live or work there.
Step 2. The assessment: Onsite readings across DFW with a full walkthrough of every room and the lot, or the same analysis online over Zoom or Google Meet with a live video tour.
Step 3. Your recommendations: Specific and in order. What to change first, what can wait, what to leave alone, and honestly which items are not worth the disruption.
Step 4. Implementation: Written plainly enough for your builder, contractor or designer to act on directly.
Onsite suits you if you have already bought, are planning a renovation, a custom build or a commercial fit out, or your plans are incomplete. An online Vastu consultation suits you if you are shopping and need a fast read before an offer deadline, or want to start with what you can change yourself.

Almost never. The working rule is no unnecessary changes. The large majority of recommendations require no construction at all. Structural work is proposed only where the issue is significant enough to justify it, and on a post-tension slab that bar is set deliberately high.
It narrows what can be moved and widens what has to be worked with. Kitchens, bathrooms, and drain lines are effectively permanent. Room use, furniture placement, sleeping and seating direction, color, light, material, and entry treatment all remain fully available.
Not automatically. It depends on how the road meets the plot and on the shape of the plot itself. Two homes on the same cul-de-sac can get different recommendations. A compass reading and the lot survey settle it.
North and east facing are generally preferred, but facing direction alone does not decide whether a house suits you. Internal layout, where the entrance sits within the facing wall, the lot shape, and the placement of the kitchen, master bedroom, and toilets often matter more.
Yes, and it is one of the best uses of a consultation. A review during the option period tells you what you would be taking on and whether the issues are cosmetic or structural, while you can still walk away.
Before your design center appointment, and certainly before the slab is poured. Lot selection, plan orientation, plan reversal, and structural options are all open at that stage and closed afterward.
